Today’s episode is with Tina Choi, a certified Mental Health Therapist and Clinical and Mental Health counselor. She obtained her Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, and her work today involves specifically carrying out AAPI (or Asian American and Pacific Islander) social justice advocacy, specifically utilizing anti-racism education strategies and the empowerment of women entrepreneurs and voices in the business world. Her specialities lie in addressing the challenges of depression, anxiety, trauma and recovery, while also acknowledging and seeing the importance of an individual’s intersectional identities in their growth and development. We chatted with Tina about mental health, growth, trauma, visibility, and the female voice in the mental health space. She gave us some very practical insight on dealing with trauma, walking in healing, and the importance of having good people in our lives. We hope you also gain wisdom from this incredible woman, and are encouraged by her just as we were.
