In an extraordinary day in Congress, the GOP managed to kill its own immigration bill, and they also failed to impeach Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for absolutely no reason because they somehow forgot how to count votes. It’s a colossal waste of time and tax dollars, and all of it is designed for one purpose and one purpose alone – to stoke right-wing outrage in service of a guy currently facing 91 felony charges, a guy who’s just trying to keep himself out of prison by destroying American democracy.
