Some of the long-term effects of diabetes include nerve damage which can result in loss of sensation in your feet. A decrease in circulation can make it harder to heal if you have a blister or scrape from ill-fitting shoes or pressure points on areas of arthritis. Learn how to take care of your feet to prevent chronic ulcers, deformity and avoid the dreaded amputation.

Andy was 36 years old – happily married with two small children and a great job. When a routine physical revealed he had type 1 diabetes, Andy decided to fight back. Already a college athlete and dedicated bodybuilder, he welcomed the challenge of the Iron Man Triathlon in 2006…and to date has completed the Triathlon 10 times! Learn how his positive attitude has made him a national spokesperson and has influenced the lives of so many other people.
