Mississippi State had a winning weekend on the baseball diamond. The Bulldogs needed three wins and got three wins. State will play another non-conference game today and then head to Athens to open SEC play.
Former Louisville assistant coach Sam Purcell accepted the Mississippi State women's basketball head coaching position. Purcell is billed as a tremendous recruiter who knows the lay of the land when it comes to women's hoops.
