Brandon Lancaster is the lead singer of American country band LANCO. Brandon joins Country Music Made Me to talk about his musical upbringing, growing up just outside of Nashville, and how that shaped his musical aspirations. He reminisces about his early trips into the Bluebird Café, how that helped shape his love for songwriting, and why he always knew he wanted to be in a band rather than going solo. He then talks about approaching producer Jay Joyce at a Keith Urban concert and the major success the band experienced after producing their debut album with him. Finally he talks about the bands new EP Honky-Tonk Hippies.
