Randy Rogers is the lead singer and founding member of the Randy Rogers Band. Randy joins Country Music Made Me to discuss his beginnings in music as a youngster, learning piano along side his Great Grandmother, being inspired by his Dad's record collection, and spending his teenage years teaching and playing music in his hometown of Cleburne, Texas. Randy and Brendan talk about the many amazing artists who inspired his journey, how fortunate he's been to work with many of them over his 20 year career, the influence Cheatham Street Warehouse owner Kent Findlay had on his journey, and the events that led to the formation of the current Randy Rogers Band line-up for their 2004 album Rollercoaster. Randy explains the journey he's been on towards rediscovering the passion that led him to forming the band, how reconnecting with Producer Radney Foster, whom the band worked with in producing Rollercoaster, has helped in that journey of rediscovery, and how it's helping shape the group's new music. Finally Randy talks about his evolution as a performer, the band's new single Picture Frames, and what's next.
