Description

Walker County are a country music duo consisting of sisters Ivy and Sophie Walker (with their Dad playing lead guitar). The sisters join Country Music Made Me to discuss their musical upbringing, their early introduction to performing when they busked on the street during a family vacation to Nashville, and how that one moment led to a permanent move to Nashville a few years later. Ivy and Sophie tell host Brendan Osborne about their highly supportive grandparents, one of whom had a heart attack at their show without anyone knowing because they didn't want to interrupt the performance, what it's like to have their Dad play lead guitar in their band, and what life has been like since singing a record deal with Warner Music Nashville in 2014. Finally, the sisters talk about the last 2 years since releasing their lead single "The Hamptons" and what's in store for the future.
