This week, I would like to talk about using our time wisely and not being lazy. We often waste time doing vain things.
This does not mean we are not to relax and have fun! For example, I watch one Curious George cartoon every day with my little girl. It is well worth watching a 24-minute episode with her. That is not a waste of time or being lazy! We just need to be careful wasting hours away doing vain things.
Let’s read our verses from the Bible for today.
Eph 5:15-17 "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."
Col 4:5 "Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time."
These two passages in Colossians and Ephesians tell us to redeem the time because the days are evil. The time we have lost is gone, it can never be recovered. The time you wasted in vain, empty activities is gone forever.
