Jacklin's love story started with her middle school sweetheart – a classic tale of rekindled love after graduation. They were all in, ready to tackle life together, and the twist? They jumped headfirst into her father-in-law's brand-new business venture. Talk about excitement!
Thanks to the Great Recession of 2008 they found themselves in a financial funk. And that was just the opening act. During their second decade of business is when things really got ugly and hard decisions had to be made.
In our chat, Jacklin didn't sugarcoat it, saying, "Most marriages wouldn't have survived this." Frankly, I couldn't agree more. It takes a special kind of grit to weather such storms, and most people would've thrown in the towel years earlier.
