Tiffany Dufu, Founder and CEO of The Cru, shared the story behind her title with us on Saturday, May 8th and Sunday, May 9th, 2021.
Tiffany is a catalyst-at-large in the world of women’s leadership and the author of Drop the Ball, a memoir and manifesto that shows women how to cultivate the single skill they really need in order to thrive: the ability to let go. According to foreword contributor Gloria Steinem, Drop the Ball is “important, path-breaking, intimate and brave.”
Tiffany serves on the board of Girls Who Code and Simmons College. She is a member of Women's Forum New York, Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. and is a Lifetime Girl Scouts. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.

When she reflects on her beginning, she is reminded that while her mother struggled with poverty and addiction, she also spoke to Tiffany in a way that led her to believe in herself, and ultimately aim higher. With the help of her father, she went off to college and discovered her true calling; to help elevate young girls and women become independent for the greater good."
