On September 8, 2019, we were joined by Val Ackerman, the Commissioner of the Big East Conference. The list of accomplishments for Val points directly to her innate drive and life as an over-achiever. What she shared with me however was just how hard it can be to manage the work-load, obligations and responsibilities as a leader in the sports arena without burning out. She makes a point to unwind whenever she has a chance and stays focused by her love of the game.
