Description

Hey everybody! This is the very first podcast of my life and I kid you not, I was very nervous. But soon after the podcast started, Aditya, our guest of the day, made me super comfortable and we ended up discussing many mind-blowing things about filmmaking, film direction, casting, the struggle, the job, and a whole lot of exciting thing.

About Aditya Kripalani:

Aditya is a filmmaker, director, producer, novelist, musician (and someone I look up to).

When we made his first movie, he'd put his entire life's savings, sold a house that he'd bought as an investment, and on top of that crowdsourced ₹25 lakhs to bootstrap it.

That's the kind of passion and energy he brings to the table. He's filmed 4 movies since - Tikli and Laxmi Bomb (Netflix), TOTTAA PATAAKA ITEM MAAL (Netflix), DEVI AUR HERO and has won multiple awards for his and his team's phenomenal work of art.

In this podcast, Aditya shares his struggles as a filmmaker and how he deals with them. He tells us how making a film feels like, emotionally, to him as a director and writer and to his fellow editors, actors, casting directors, art directors, and everyone else.

He tours us through the process of casting actors. As the leader of the crew, he shares why he keeps the mental wellbeing of his crew members as one of his top priorities.

Hope you all enjoy the podcast as much as I did.
