What is pain? How should we understand the meaning of “Pain” today?

Famous Christian author C.S. Lewis wrote a book entitled “The problem of pain.” Even though the name of the book was not difficult, the content is rather sophisticated. We all go through ups and downs in life, experiencing pain is part of life.

Different people might interpret “pain” variously, according to their standards, especially some religious figures. We tend to seek wisdom from these so-called “religious icons.”

but where do you draw the line in the sand when it comes to following Christian authors, or Christian models? Should we expect them to be perfect, without sins?
