In episode 1 of my podcast, I stated that I was an actor! Although poetry gave me an entry into artistry; acting at the age of 26 (JAY Z said that on Watch The Throne track 6 'NEW DAY') made me decide that that was what I wanted to do in my life. I take you back to Circa 2010 or 2011 when I auditioned for a part in an independent stage play that featured poetry. That was my first interaction with my sister Contrina Jenkins Buggs. From there we would go on to work on a few other projects together. This episode is about talking to Jala about her obstacles, barriers, failures and successes. We look at two of her independent films and discuss the make up about them.
