Description

Super excited to introduce new guest, Shawn Gallagher, to The Story!

Shawn is a Lancaster County native who has been active in the music scene for over 30 years.

As a member of the garage pop Modern Day Pharaohs and solo acoustic performer, he held virtual residencies at the Lancaster Dispensing Company and Quips Pub through the 1990s. After taking time to pursue a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience, he returned as a multi-instrumentalist supporting singer-songwriter Angelo M.

Gallagher has had a longtime interest in Celtic music and in an effort to take that sound in a modern direction formed Salt Hill with guitarist/bassist Karl Greathouse and fiddle player Michael Furjanic. Greathouse brings influences from his history as a founding member of the guitar rock band Eye wish Eye and Furjanic has a fiddle style that draws on his Croatian roots. Together with drummer Steve Schwartz, they blend their own songs with a mix of reshaped modern and ancient covers.
