Directed by Joe Cornish Attack the Block focused on a teenage street gang in south London fighting an alien invasion. Featuring future sci-fi stars John Boyega and Jodi Whittaker, along with Nick Frost, the low budget film connected with British audiences and American critics but recived an incredibly limited release and barely made a million dollars at the US box office.
