R. Franklin James grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. A UC Berkeley grad, she cultivated a different type of writing—legislation and public policy. After a career of political advocacy she returned to her love of writing. Her debut novel, The Fallen Angels Book Club, was the first of six books in her Hollis Morgan Mysteries. The series has been made into Lifetime movies. Her latest series: The Johanna Hudson Mysteries opens with book one – The Inheritance, which received a publisher’s weekly “must read” review. Book two, Look Twice, was released this past August. James resides in Northern California.
