Description

The WCNC Charlotte Weather Team wants you to be Weather Aware because of the dangerous heat in the Carolinas beginning this weekend.

Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the mid-and-upper 90s beginning Saturday. The hot weather will continue through at least Wednesday.

The hottest and most humid days of this heat wave are expected to be Sunday and Monday. These two days will likely see heat indices reach at least 103 degrees in Charlotte. It is possible some locations in the Carolinas could be a degree or two warmer. Even so, dangerous heat conditions continue until at least Wednesday.
