One person was killed in a shooting in the University City area of Charlotte on Wednesday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The deadly shooting happened on Hyde Pointe Court at 11:26 p.m.
The victim was taken to the hospital but died from their injuries.
