Joy is a forced decision from the heart and it is an act of faith to walk in joy. Although the world will try to condition us to walk in fear and spew negativity, we must activate our faith and operate with joy and thankfulness. Even in trial and tribulation, there are a multitude of things to be thankful for. Paul and Silas gave us an example of being joyful when they were beaten and sent to prison. In fact, when we turn our joy and thankfulness into praise, we are actively pushing back darkness and driving it out of our homes and out of our spirit.
