I am serving up some tough love in this episode and asking you to do some deep self reflection. I know you care about your community and that you care about your family, whether biological or chosen. But do you think highly of them? Or do you think that you, and you alone, have the responsibility to solve all their problems? Because if you think that the people you care about are helpless without you, then you my friend, have a Savior Complex.
The great news is that once you realize this, you can take steps to change it. Remember, when you heal yourself, you heal your community.
