Today’s guest on That's Business is Amy Peterson. Amy is the Co-Founder and C.E.O. of Rebel Nell, a certified social enterprise and women-owned jewelry company with the purpose, of employing women with barriers to help them transition from a life of dependence into self-reliance.
Living next to one of the city's most well-known shelters gave her the unique opportunity to build relationships with numerous residents. The inspirational stories many of the women shared of overcoming emotional, physical, and financial abuse were the catalyst for creating Rebel Nell.
In this episode, Amy talks about her years working with the Detroit Tigers in hopes of becoming a team manager and how her grassroots projects have made an impact on the community.
