In a recent announcement on Twitter, local tight end Greydon Grimes has committed to the Baylor Bears for the 2024 season. The 6'6" and 235-pound athlete, who currently attends China Spring High School in China Spring, TX, will bring his skills as both a tight end and defensive end to the team. Grimes had received offers from various schools including Abilene Christian, Houston Baptist, Louisiana, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Texas State, and UTSA, but ultimately chose Baylor. With an impressive athletic profile, Grimes has showcased his abilities with a 4.80-second 40-yard dash, a 35" vertical, and an impressive 450-pound deadlift. Interestingly, Grimes is the son of Baylor's offensive coordinator and tight ends coach, Jeff Grimes, making his commitment to the program a natural choice. His decision marks the sixth commitment for Baylor's 2024 recruiting class.
