Description

College football is rapidly changing. Teams like Baylor, Oklahoma State, BYU and UCF may not have a chance to win a Big 12 championship game in their existence with the league. Why is that? Well, the era of conference championship games is in jeopardy as leagues prepare to create the path of least resistance for their teams to make the college football playoff.

In today's game, it doesn't matter if your conference has three 10-win teams, a Heisman winner or even a lucrative conference championship game. What matters most at this point in the juncture is taking a team, or two, to the college football playoff. That is the new ultimate team award in the game, and leagues will have the leeway to build schedules that give their elite teams the best chance to make the college football playoff.

Drake Toll, host of Locked On Baylor, is joined by a panel of other Locked On college podcast hosts from across the conference as Locked On Big 12's Josh Neighbors leads a discussion about the changing NCAA, the Big 12's next moves and where teams like Baylor, Texas Tech and BYU go from here. Will we see pods, protected rivals or a free for all conference schedule? Drake and the guys break it all down on today's episode of Locked On Baylor.
