A big bummer of a Sunday leaves the boys feeling a little sad Monday night.
After discussing the fallout of the Eagles loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, they got into what was a .500 but really disappointing week for the Oilers, including a couple of pathetic performances headlined by a 6-2 rout by the Habs. They discussed:
- Sloppy dominance against the Wings and Sens
- Bar television etiquette
- Oilers can't start on time again
- The concerning play of Leon Draisaitl
Following the games they discussed the Chris Johnston bomb dropped regarding the Oilers' interest in Sharks D Erik Karlsson. Naturally this led to a discussion regarding parameters of a potential deal, the fit, the risk/reward factor etc. (spoiler alert it's a good idea)
Then moving onto NHL talk, they discussed topics such as the Tarasenko trade to the Rangers, Crosby's goon phase, Jakob Chychrun in trade limbo and much more!
