The Tampa Bay Rays won 96 games in 2019, one less than the franchise record. It was the sixth time since 2010 that the team had won at least 90 games as they continue to punch above their weight class in the American League East.
They are taking some chances this year, with quite a few unproven bats in the lineup but their pitching rotation has a chance to be formidable and, if rising star Austin Meadows can get some offensive support, the Rays could contend again.
