The Cincinnati Bearcats are joining the Big 12 at a time for the conference. Alex is joined by Locked On Big 12 host Josh Neighbors for his thoughts on the Cincinnati Bearcats officially joining the Big 12 July 1, 2023, and if they are joining the conference at a time when the conference is going through a transition.
Alex and Josh discuss if the Cincinnati Bearcats can win immediately upon joining the Big 12, and why the men's basketball program will face a steeper learning curve when joining the conference.
The biggest element of transition for the Big 12 is its new television deal on the horizon. Josh says that the new deal will depend on the Big Ten and Pac12 and their new television deals.
One thing the Cincinnati Bearcats won't have to transition is their offense, as Josh says the Cincinnati Bearcats can win with their run-first approach.
