There is one player and one area of the Cincinnati Bearcats we are not talking about, but they could play a large role in defining the 2022 team.
Alex talks about how fourth-year running back Ryan Montgomery could be poised for a breakout season, both as a running back and punt returner. His versatility can really help a Cincinnati Bearcats offense with lots of new faces in leadership roles.
The biggest weakness on last year's Cincinnati Bearcats team was their kicking game, going just 9/19 on field goals. Alex explains how that must get better this year, and the Cincinnati Bearcats can't avoid having to kick field goals in games where points could be at a premium.
Finally, the defensive line saved the Cincinnati Bearcats season last year against Tulsa. This year, a new group of leaders on the line will be the ones determining whether or not the Cincinnati Bearcats get back to the heights they reached last year.
