The Cincinnati Bearcats looked great in the first half but awful in the second half. Alex reacts to the Bearcats 45-24 win over Indiana, and why the team that showed up in the second half today cannot show up in bigger games later this season.
A lot of things went wrong for the Bearcats in the second half from Ben Bryant struggling to playcalling to the lack of a running game... to Evan Prater not getting any playing time. While the Bearcats look like they are seemingly embracing the passing game, it's still important to keep their identity as a run-first team.
Regardless, the first half was the best half of football the Bearcats have played in a long time. And if that Bearcats team shows up the rest of the season, they can win out and get back to a New Year's Six bowl.
