Frontier
Uncharted territory.
Jamie is the founder and director of Biomimicry Frontiers, an award-winning design who's mission is to 'Make It Better.'
Naturally.
He trained with Janine Benyus who coined the term Biomimicry back-when.
He's also working at B+H Architecture firm as Director of Biomimicry to help them to think and create within a Biomimetic Paradigm.
.
- Using Biomimicry to design your built environment can make them more attractive to clients/investors AND there's major cost savings in infrastructure in the long-term and engineering costs.
- Through measuring the ecological performance of a site, before and after, you can tell that some buildings (designed by yours truly) actually improve the site more than if they weren't to build on it.
- Metrics: Sequestering more carbon, producing more oxygen, reducing noise, reducing air pollution, water retention, temperature reduction and a few more.
- It's a Win-Win Paradigm.
.
Thank you Jamie for harmonizing us with the natural world @biomimicryfrontiers
