The story of Israel is a story about God’s faithfulness. He has demonstrated himself as worthy of trust because whatever he has committed to his people has come to pass. Time and time again he has proven himself as fulfilling what he has promised, whether in blessing or in judgment. In essence, the Bible story of Israel is a type of historical resume that God has provided us.
If we review the story of Israel as related in the Bible books, we find a consistent narrative that has a logical beginning, middle, and ending that has been borne out in time. We can see that there is a flow and a lasting evidence to how God has worked with the nation of Israel within history to help us understand who he is.
Demonstrated in this episode are instances of how God was faithful in providing Israel the land of Canaan, and allowing the kingdom of David and Solomon to prosper. We will also review the removal of Israel from the land, and how their scattering among the nations fulfilled prophetic pronouncements to Moses. Finally, we will see the culmination of all prophetic promise in Messiah Yeshua, and how God's faithfulness is demonstrated to the whole world through faith in him.
