Obsession has become one of the biggest and most talked about movies in America. So much so that it has actually been the number one movie at the box office during the week. Obviously, this will change over the holiday weekend, but it is still nice to see it doing so well. We also talk about what the future holds for it.
It seems like we have been talking about Crystal Lake for years. And every once in a while, we have a little bit more information to discuss. This time we actually have a release date for the Friday the 13th spinoff. And it is just around the corner.
Zombie apocalypse movies are a staple of horror. They can do a lot by doing a little. To break away from the formula, there have been a number of movies in the sub-genre that have tried to do more. This Is Not a Test tries to bring a depth rarely seen in zombie films. This ends up ruining the whole thing.
At the very least, you would figure that people who like these types of films would enjoy it. The opening certainly gives that impression. After all, it is a generic zombie movie. Then you realize that there is a big piece missing from what is otherwise a ho-hum release.
