God breathed life into man and he became a living being. We were created to function as SPIRITUAL BEINGS.
Man sinned and became spiritually dead and separated from God. Sin separates us from the presence of God.
A life separate from God is a life governed by Satan, by emotion, and by our physical senses.
It is NOT a wonderful life!
Why is it so hard for Christians to walk by faith, maintain peace, love, joy, etc.?
Because they have lived and live in a world that primarily lives only by sight. You have to develop your newly born again self to live from your newly recreated Spirit man.
