Description

Host Will Kollmeyer welcomes listeners to the twenty-eighth edition of the TigerTalk podcast with the college's director of the counseling center Joey Williford who talks about people and changes. Williford first addresses changes to the Summer Orientation schedule -- instead of one/two or three big sessions, we will see a maximum of 100 students for Orientation each Tuesday throughout the summer (with the exception of July 4th week) to help suit the students' needs at Orientation. Willford also addresses the changes between the Counseling Center and the Financial Aid department where the two office spaces have swapped locations to help better serve the students. Northeast at Corinth counselor Ronnie Sweeney joins Kollmeyer to talk about a unique program at the Alcorn County Regional Correctional Facility where the college offers credit to inmates to help rehabilitate them and drop the recidivism rate in Mississippi. As always, Kenny Paul Geno gives us his weekly spotlight of what is coming up at Northeast in this twenty-eighth edition of the TigerTalk podcast.
