Description

We have reached the BIG 3-0 on the TigerTalk Podcast and we thank each and every one of you for being our faithful listeners since October. In this milestone podcast, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes listeners to the thirtieth (30th) edition of the TigerTalk podcast with Northeast's diesel mechanics instructor Jonathan Alexander, who talks about the need for career technical education students and the current job openings in the state and the nation where they are currently experiencing a shortage of workers. Alexander also gives us a brief look at the HEADS 2018 career tech fair that will be coming up on October 11 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on the NEMCC Booneville campus that is geared toward students in grades 7-12 to help introduce them to career technical occupations. We will talk more about the HEADS 2018 conference in later TigerTalks. In addition to Alexander's interview, Sports Information Director Blake Long joins the podcast to recap the athletic year in review and also talks about all the summer camps that will be happening on campus including baseball camp which started today (May 29) at Harold T. White Field.
