Description

In this thirty-third (33rd) episode of the TigerTalk Podcast by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes "The Improv Lady" Rebecca Stockley from San Francisco, California to the podcast as she recounts her visit back to the Mobile Learning Conference. Stockley brought the world of communication to the conference by helping educators find ways to communicate with their students and different ways to make learning fun. Stockley, who has worked with major studios such as PIXAR, taught educators about "Yes and..." "Yes but..." and "No" answers and how to incorporate improvisation in the classroom. Northeast's Construction Engineering Technology instructor Ray Gaillard visits the podcast to tell about his programs, the requirements and the internship that is required for the CET program at Northeast. With Gaillard's instruction, students are able to obtain many certifications that will benefit them on a job site including leaving Northeast with their crane operator license and an OSHA-30 certificate. Kenny Paul Geno gives us a report on what is happening not only on the Northeast at Booneville campus in his weekly roundup.
