In this fortieth (40th) episode of the TigerTalk Podcast by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes Northeast's vice president of planning and research Kelli Hefner to the podcast as she discusses her office's role in leading the re-accreditation efforts through SACS-COC in 2021 and what the college is doing to prepare for the effort nearly three years ahead of schedule. Also, Hefner gives insight into the 70th birthday party that her office helped coordinate for NEMCC's InService last week and how the college will be celebrating its milestone birthday throughout the year. In the second part of the show, Northeast drafting, design and 3-D modeling technology instructor Jeff Melson stops by to give insight on what all is going on in his program. Melson, who is only the fourth instructor of the program in school history, also introduces listeners to a pair of recent success stories Rollen Ewing and Hunter Wigginton, who both have gone on to have successful drafting and design careers after their time in Booneville. Ewing and Wigginton talk about one of their most successful products -- reclining theater chairs for some of the movie theaters in northeast Mississippi -- and how the college prepared them for their careers. In the final segment, the TigerTalk podcast says goodbye to one of the fixtures -- Kenny Paul Geno as he embarks on another educational adventure seeking his master's degree at a four-year university. Geno gives his final report of what the first few days of school have been like for the students and gives a look at all the ways a person can connect with the college.
