In this seventy-fourth (74th) edition of the TigerTalk podcast presented by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes technology specialist and Apple Distinguished Educator Jeffrey Powell to the podcast along with Lady Tiger softball players Caleigh Wallace of Killen, Ala., and Lizzy Van Manen of Pella, Iowa to the show. In the first part of the show, Powell talks about the college's upcoming Career Development Academy (CDA) camps that will run throughout the summer with a two-week STEM camp at the beginning of June, an Art & Theatre camp and the Health and Wellness Camp that will see the return of Survivor season 29 finalist Missy Payne helping to run the camp. In addition to giving information about the CDA camp, Powell talks about the 11th annual Mobile Learning Conference at the Northeast at Corinth campus that will bring in educational and technology specialists from around the United States to help anyone -- especially educators -- understand the importance of technology. In the second half of the show, Wallace and Van Manen talk about what it takes to be a student-athlete at the college level, the time management and how important it is to have people that you trust to help you along the way. Wallace focuses on her recent honor of being named to the college's hall of fame while Van Manen focuses on the national awards she received during the season. Between the interviews, Kollmeyer gives a rundown on the camps that will be happening at the college throughout the summer including baseball, women's basketball, softball, men's basketball camps along with swimming lesson and water aerobics at the Gaye Roden Carr Aquatic Center.
