In episode 114 of the TigerTalk podcast presented by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes Northeast president Dr. Ricky G. Ford to the podcast as Kollmeyer and Ford sit down to discuss what is happening at the college. In this week's update, Dr. Ford updates listeners on the overall precautions being put in place for opening the campus on July 1 and also welcoming students back to campus on August 3. Ford updates the campus on such things as a possible modification to the 2020 football schedule, how the opening of the Burgess Fitness Center will occur, construction and renovation projects around campus such as the Haney Union, Hargett Hall, Hines Hall and the Seth Pounds Auditorium. Ford also gives some insight into the Northeast budget process and the what the college is anticipating happening at the state level as funding is concerned. Don’t forget that Northeast is the second-ranked community college in the nation for receiving an online education, so if you or someone you know is looking to further their education during the summer or fall semesters, Northeast has a place for you.
