Description

Northeast Mississippi Community College president Dr. Ricky G. Ford sits with Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Liz Roark to talk about the college's plans for Building 1000 in the very northeast corner of Tishomingo County and how that location can not only help the college reach a whole new audience, but it can provide a valuable service to law enforcement and emergency personnel from around the state. Listen in as Ford talks about the transformation happening at Building 1000. In the middle portion of the interview, Ford and Roark discuss the Tiger Apprenticeship program and how it has only not benefited the students at Northeast but also the businesses in the college's five-county service area as Northeast students get valuable work experience. In contrast, companies can fill holes in production staff with workers while giving practical on-the-job training. In the final installment of this week's interview, Ford gives listeners a brief rundown on all things happening at Northeast.
