After knocking off No. 1 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, the Alabama Crimson Tide gained entry to the College Football Playoff for the eighth time in its existence. UA will take on top-seed Michigan in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day, with Texas and Washington squaring off in the Sugar Bowl later that evening.
