On this episode of The Western Rookie Dan talks with Thad Miller about Thad’s first successful year chasing elk in Colorado. Dan and Thad met at elk camp a few years back. Although Thad grew up small game hunting he recently got into big game hunting after marrying into a family of hunters. Up until this year Thad had helped pack out elk for other hunters at camp but hadn’t had an opportunity to take one for himself until the final day of the 2022 season. Dan and Thad discuss everything that went into shooting and recovering Thad’s first bull.
