The score at halftime was 31-3 at Autzen Stadium on Saturday, despite a sluggish start for Oregon Football's offense that was held back by penalties. An explosive second quarter that saw 21 points go up on the board in a matter of minutes, combined with a dominant defensive showing, helped the Ducks get non-starters into the game for several drives in the fourth quarter. The blowout score was a refreshing sight for Oregon fans.

Stanford came in with a long losing streak against FBS teams fueled by a defense that has struggled to stop the run, and they allowed over 300 rushing yards to Oregon in this game. The offensive line, running backs, and OC Kenny Dillingham were operating at a high level to gash the Cardinal's defense.
The scoreboard told one story, but the game in many ways told another with regards to how far Oregon still has to go in order to reappear in the Pac-12 Championship Game this season. Red zone execution and 135 (!!!) penalty yards are areas that the Ducks still have to clean up going forward, but other areas show growth from earlier this season.
