Simon Hallettwas born in England, but has long since been working in the United States. That's why, technically, as owner of Plymouth Argyle FC he falls into the category of American owners of English football teams. But, his ownership is far more than a technicality as Argyle was his childhood club. It just so happens that the life he built in America helped him ultimately become owner and chairman of that club.
