Closing out our first month of divos ever with my personal favorite of favorites: Mr. Michael Jackson. This week, Angie & Steffi are easing down the road and talking about The Wiz (1978). LOGLINE: The Wiz is a movie musical adaptation of the 1974 Broadway musical “The Wiz” & reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s children’s novel “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” that features an all Black cast. It follows the adventure of Dorothy, a 24 year old school teacher who magically gets transported to the Land of Oz. She befriends a Scarecrow, a Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion on her quest to meet the Wiz - who may be the only being powerful enough to send her home.
