There is a theory that suggests that human beings are natural storytellers and that a good story is more convincing than a good argument. Jesus was the perfect example of someone who put narrative at the forefront of His ministry. He often told parables and stories as a way for people to understand the Father’s heart more for His children. Even in the midst of being challenged by those who didn’t agree with Him, Jesus was ready with a story rooted in love to help unify people. Today the church is still a collection of storytellers but have we gotten off the beaten path of what our narrative is supposed to be.
