Face to Face with God in Prayer
Luke 11:1-13
Two essential insights about prayer:
1. Prayer requires EFFORT.
· When our prayer is PERSISTENT it becomes EFFECTIVE.
2. Prayer demands FAITH.
A. It demands faith in God’s WILLINGNESS to hear our prayer and to answer it.
B. Prayer demands the faith to ACCEPT God’s answer.
Three Takeaways:
1. Not to demand THINGS from God, but to SUBMIT ourselves to God.
2. Not to USE God, but to be USED by God.
3. Not to get our WILL done, but to get HIS will done in US.
