How to Be Truly Free
Galatians 5
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…” Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
1. Freedom from the PENALTY of sin.
2. Freedom from the POWER of sin.
·We are not free to INDULGE the flesh. (v. 13)
True freedom is found in SELF-CONTROL.
·We are not free to INJURE others. (vv. 13, 15)
True freedom is found in loving SERVICE to our neighbor.
·We are not free to IGNORE God’s law. (v. 14)
True freedom is found in OBEDIENCE to God’s word.
3. Freedom from the PRESENCE of sin.
Takeaway: STAND FIRM in your Christian freedom.
