Psalm 42-43
Do you WANT more of God?
“Father, I NEED and WANT more of you in my life.”
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 42:1-2
1. Be HONEST with God.
2. Remember WHO God is and WHAT he has done.
What gets REPEATED must be IMPORTANT.
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me?Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 42:5
3. Put your HOPE in God.
“By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me -a prayer to the God of my life.” Psalm 42:8
HESED brings HOPE.
“Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39
