Brett Howden is among 22 NHL players that filed for arbitration on Wednesday. He will meet with an arbitrator later this month or early August in an attempt to make more than the $1.5 million qualifying offer VGK made to him following the season. The RFA made the same amount this past season. When you look at Howden's numbers, he doesn't have a strong case to get a big pay increase. The most career goals has is 9 and he tied that number last season with the Golden Knights, after coming over from the New York Rangers. He had 13 points total in the regular season and added 10 more points in 22 playoff games. We argue whether Howden is worth more money. VGK is up against the salary cap currently. We also talk about Logan Thompson's appearance at Development Camp Wednesday and, will the recent VGK coaching departures be a disruption for the team.
